Terms and Conditions - Portsalon Luxury Camping

If a booking is cancelled within 28 days of booking date a refund will not be provided unless Portsalon Luxury Camping are able to secure a booking for your yurt. We suggest that you ensure you have travel insurance in place to cover unforeseen cancellation of your holiday or if you are unsure whether you can fulfill your booking consider making your booking at the last minute.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable but are valid for five years and are transferable.
Portsalon Luxury Camping reserve the right to cancel bookings in the event of severe weather conditions.
We cannot cancel bookings due to poor weather or poor weather forecasts (unless we deem them too extreme for safe camping). If you feel you may not want to camp in poor weather we suggest you make a last minute booking rather than booking in advance.
At busy periods you may be allocated a different yurt to the one you selected when booking though we will always endeavour to give you the yurt you have selected.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11.30am – we request that these times are adhered to in order to allow staff time to prepare yurts for other guests.
Our site is an adult only facility
We operate a quiet policy between the hours of 11pm and 9am and request that noise levels are kept to a minimum by all guests between these hours. This is for the comfort of all guests and our neighbours.
No rubbish to be left inside the yurts – please use bins provided next to the communal kitchen. No litter to be left anywhere else on site. Please sort rubbish according to our recycling policy (all bins are labelled). Please always separate your bottles and cans which can be left in the crate provided or disposed of in the bottle banks in the beach car park.
No smoking in yurts or buildings. All cigarette butts to be disposed of responsibly.
No rubbish to be burned in woodburning stoves or in the firepits. Please use only wood and peat on the stoves and in the firepits in line with our environmental policy.
Due care and attention to be taken at all times with open camp fires (please use fire pit), barbeques and woodburning stoves. Please do not ever leave any fires unattended.
Any accidental damage/ spillages to be reported (replacement fee/ cleaning fee may be applied). The customer undertakes to pay all reasonable costs incurred in making good any breakages or damage to Portsalon Luxury Camping directly or indirectly from the behaviour or conduct of the guest or the guest’s visitors. We reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit card in case of damages
No additional guests allowed on site without prior arrangement with the owner and maximum occupancy per yurt must always be observed.
Pets are not allowed and we are sorry but we cannot make exceptions to this rule.
Alcohol may be consumed on site but drunken or rowdy behaviour is not acceptable. Please be respectful of other guests and owners who live on site.
Buildings and yurts will be cleaned and maintained by staff but we ask that guests tidy up after themselves at all times. We do not clean yurts during your stay unless you specifically ask us to do so.
Staff are available during office hours (9am til 5pm) on the telephone number displayed. Outside of office hours please contact staff only in a genuine emergency. Emergency numbers are displayed in both buildings and in your in yurt information pack. With respect to the privacy of the owners please do not knock on the door of the private dwelling except in an extreme emergency.
Please report any problems that you find at the earliest possible opportunity to allow staff to address the issue.
Guests accept that staff may check the condition of yurt at the point of check out. Staff will not enter your yurt during your stay unless invited to do so or in the case of a safety concern.
Guests are expected to behave with respect for other guests, staff and the environment at all times.
Portsalon Luxury Camping cannot be held responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen personal property. Our yurts have lockable front doors and we also provide secure lockers within our communal lounge area.
If any of the above terms and conditions are broken guests will first be reminded of their responsibilities and if necessary will be requested to leave the site.
