Zero waste policy
- We have a recycling system in place and encourage guests to adhere to this. We compost food waste and card/paper waste in the garden.
- We re-use materials around the site – our fuel boxes are made from discarded wooden pallets. Much of our signage is made from driftwood. We have hand-made soft furnishings in the yurts from used fabrics
- We avoid single use plastics
- We re-use plastic pots in the garden and make our own newspaper pots
- We bulk buy cleaning products and refill of washing up liquid, hand soap, cleaning fluids.
- Light bulbs – low energy
- We have moved to an almost paperless system for the administration of our business. Where paper is used we shred and compost it after use.
- We limit printing and purchase ink refils for our printer.
- The flowers in the yurts are homegrown and hand-picked flowers from site so include no plastic packaging or air miles
- We use environmentally friendly cleaning products.
